In recent months, we had the privilege of participating in two significant conferences, where we presented our findings on different aspects of microplastic transport research.
At the European Geosciences Union (EGU) conference in Vienna, we had the opportunity to present our study titled ‘Sampling microplastics in estuarine environments: lessons learned from suspended sediment dynamics and perspectives.‘ The conference provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking opportunities.
More recently, we attended the ‘GDR Polymères et Océans’ conference, where Adeline Lemaire-Coqueugniot presented our latest results on microplastic erosion in muddy environments. The conference was a rewarding experience where we engaged in insightful discussions and shared laughter with old and new friends. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the organizers for their valuable work, and we look forward to meeting again next year in Marseille.
We also take this moment to congratulate Adeline on the successful defense of her Master’s dissertation. Adeline was the first Master student of the PLASTINEST team, contributing significantly to the development of microplastic erosion lab experiments and data post-processing. We wish Adeline continued success in her future career.
